DENYCE WEILER - Owner

My passion for photography started in middle school, and it has been burning in my soul ever since. At the time, I had no idea where my journey would lead, but that was half the excitement. I first covered a wedding in 1988, and after twelve years of developing a solid clientele, I opened "Something Blue Photography" in 2000. I've covered around 500 weddings and counting - one of which I met my husband at!

Starting out as a film studio and converting to digital was an overwhelming process, but well worth all the curveballs. The experience has allowed me to push the limits of technology, see the next steps, and not jump, but leap to the next level. Not only am I a photographer, but a designer and communicator... putting together elements in a new and powerful way. I am constantly improving my style and technique through my memberships at the O.P.P.A. and P.P.A. - I also plan on adding C.P.P. soon as well. When I am not watching my kids' sports games, I am filling my schedule with workshops, classes, webinars and competitions. It seems like there's hardly time to be in the camera room - my happy place! Photography is ever changing though, and being conscious of that is what I have been groomed for.
